MEET THE CAPTAIN
As a proud FDNY Fire Captain, Certified Herbologist, and trained Mycologist, The Captain — aka RJ — brings a rare fusion of bravery, science, and soul to everything we make. Decades of service in one of the most demanding professions gave him a firsthand view into the toll that stress, trauma, and burnout can take.
Through that lens, he developed a deep respect for what nature can do when it’s treated with real craft. Fueled by a passion for plant medicine and a mission to help others, RJ founded Captain Shroomz™ — a brand born at the intersection of science, craft, and service.
